Pinkerton improved to 15-1 following a 48-28 win over Bishop Guertin and did so with a barrage of 3-point shots. A.J. Guidi nailed down four 3-pointers on her way to a game-best 19 points. Laura Pierce also had four 3-pointers and she finished with 16 points.  For hte game, Pinkerton hit 10 from behind the arc.

Bishop Guertin 50, Timberlane 46 (OT)

Crucial turnovers late in overtime spelled doom for Timberlane in a 50-46 setback to Bishop Guertin. Meghan Short (5 points and 6 assists) and Emily Rose (13 points and 7 rebounds) led the way for the Owls.

Sachems pound Guertin

Pentucket’s whirlwind defensive effort caught Bishop Guertin off-guard, unprepared, and totally crushed.

In the opening minute, a pair of 3’s from Ashley Viselli and another from Erin McNamara, set up by their own steals, gave the Sachems a lightning-fast 9-0 lead. And in retrospect, Ashley Viselli’s foul line jumper off a fine pass from freshman Nicole Viselli gave the Sachems a 21-4 advantage and all the points they would need to win after just over four minutes of action.
