It was just one month ago that Pinkerton dealt Salem a 3-0 sweep. But the Blue Devils took their revenge in the tournament.

Melissa Ouellet had a team-best eight blocks and nine kills as No. 4 Salem downed No. 5 Pinkerton 25-21, 25-13, 25-27, 25-17 in the Division 1 quarterfinals. Courtney Wright added 12 kills for the winners, while McKayla Floyd led the way with 36 assists for the Astros.

Pinkerton faced a early rush by Nashua South, but used the serving of Amber Craghead, who scored "9 straight points to settle them down and get the momentum." said Coach Ralph Van Nostrand. "Volleyball is all about momentum" he added. Although close fought Pinkerton won the final 2 games. Mikayla Floyd had 24 assists and Kacie Connal added 9 kills and 2 blocks.

Pinkerton won its Volleyball match 3-0 vs Timberlane, during the match Senior Mikayla Floyd surpassed 1,000 career assists. "That is well beyond the school record" said Pinkerton Coach Todd Royce,"It is a rare feet", Timberlane Coach Roxanne O'Connor has been coaching for 17 years and said Floyd is the first player she can recall setting the mark. 

Spaulding remained perfect at 12-0 but Pinkerton went down fighting in three tight games. Kacie Connal (10 kills and 3 blocks) had a fine game at net and Brenna McNally (14 digs and 2 aces) worked well on the back line for the Astros (8-4).

Taylor Hough was tough at serving, garnering 10 aces and 19 service points in Pinkerton's 3-1 victory over Exeter. Brooke Gardner held down the right outside hitter's spot well for the Astros (8-3), who rebounded from a first-game defeat to cruise to the win.

Kacie Connal and Mikayla Floyd were both on top of their game as Pinkerton (6-1) shut out Salem (6-2) in girls volleyball in surprisingly easy fashion. Connal had 12 kills to offically go over the 500 mark for her career and led in blocks while Mikayla Floyd led the team in assists (23) and service points (13).

Already the team's all-time leader in kills, Pinkerton's Kacie Connal added to her legacy last night. With four kills, the Astros star reached 500 for her career to help her squad pound previously-unbeaten Bishop Guertin 25-17, 25-19, 25-23. 

Mikayla Floyd and Kacie Connal covered all the bases in Pinkerton's 25-15, 25-19, 25-20 victory over Dover. The pair led the Astros (3-0) with five kills each while running 1-2 in service effectiveness (Floyd with 8 service points, Connal with 7). Floyd also stoked the offense with 10 assists.

Pinkerton wins their first match of the year. Paced by, Amber Craghead's 24 Service points, Mikayla Floyd's 14 Assits and Casey Conal's 8 Kills.
