Ben Rees had a strong game at the net for Pinkerton, with his 8 kills and 7 blocks helping the Astros advance to Division 1 semifinal round play due to a 3-0 victory over Mascenic. Pinkerton will host unbeaten and top-ranked Salem Tuesday at 7 p.m. with a finals berth at stake.

Terry Matatall dominated the net, roping 10 kills with five blocks in Timberlane's straight-set volleyball demolition of Pinkerton Academy.

Trounced convincingly in the first two games, the Londonderry boys volleyball team rallied for a 3-2 victory over Pinkerton. Matt Hersey had 16 kills for the Lancers and WIll White had five blocks.

Pinkerton easily glided to its seventh victory of the season, rolling past Mascenic, 25-12, 25-10, 25-21. Steve Curry (team-high five kills), Dan Goodwin, and Chad Scott (10 service points) all played well for the Astros.

The Salem boys volleyball team stayed unbeaten (10-0), but it gave up its first individual game of the season in a 3-1 victory over Pinkerton. Salem won 25-17, 25-14, 22-25, 25-11.

Timberlane boys volleyball took over possession of second place with a 3-0 win over Pinkerton. Conor Dube, Matt Dionne and Max Laroche led the way.

Pinkerton's boys volleyball team had no problem with Souhegan in its season opener, breezing to a 25-17, 25-12, 23 victory. Andrew Stefanelli had 14 service points and Chris Espinola came through with 11 kills.
