Ali French led the way with a home runs, two hits, and RBI for Amesbury as the Indians beat Masconomet before their big showdown with Triton. Anna Webber (3 hits, 2 RBIs), Laura Kaminski (2 hits), and Miranda Ballard (2 hits, RBI) all had good games at the plate.

Triton 4, Masconomet 3

Kerri Carlton was 2 for 4 with a run scored for Triton (7-6 overall, 7-1 CAL). Shelby DiFiore had an RBI triple that scored the tying run (Brooke Jamison). DiFiore scored the game-winning run on a throwing error. Pitcher Marian Dullea earned the win, allowing three runs, five hits and no walks. She struck out nine.

Masconomet 8, Georgetown 7

The Royals had 17 hits to the Chieftains' 12, but late game heroics by Masconomet sealed the win. Hannah Birnie (3 for 5, double, run), Calley O'Connor (1 for 1, RBI, run), Kassie Barba (1 for 2, RBI), Sarah Osbourne (2 for 5, RBI), Sarah Erlandson ( 4 for 4, RBI, 2 runs), Lauren Kalfin (2 for 4, run), and Mel Prior (3 for 4, double, game-tying run in the seventh) all played well for the Royals. Sarah Erlandson recorded 11 strike outs.

Climbing over .500

Thanks to its third victory in a row, the Pentucket softball team (6-5) went over the .500 mark for the first time all year after an impressive 8-4 win over Masconomet. Leadoff hitter Sarah Dickinson set the tone, leading off the game with a single and scoring on a Tyne Darke hit and going 4 for 4 with a double and triple and two RBIs.

Newburyport 8, Masconomet 5

Lindsey Tomasz went 1 for 5 with a two-run home run and scored three runs for Newburyport (7-2). Rachel Webster was 2 for 5 with two doubles, two runs and three RBIs. Elani Kacher was 2 for 4 with an RBI. Shortstop Rachel Notargiacomo turned two double plays. Molly Rowe earned the complete-game victory.
