Senior Kevin Singer threw a complete-game five-hitter, and drove in four runs as North Reading pounded Wilmington 12-2.

Apperently, being a star in football was just the start for freshman Brandon Walsh. In his varsity baseball debut, Walsh drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the final inning, then closed the door to earn the save North Andover's 4-2 win over Wilmington in nine innings. Juan Areces hit a homer and drove in a run, and Mike Weisman struck out 10 over eight innings of work.
