Jose Sandoval hit for the second cycle of his career (with his first coming last year against Greater Lawrence) as Lawrence crushed Dracut, 16-3. After striking out in his first at-bat, Sandoval tripled, doubled, singled and finished up with a homer. The junior third baseman had a game-high five RBIs, followed closely by Danny Cruz, who drove in four and had his own round-tripper.

The Lancers led Haverhill, 5-0, with Calzetta working on a no-hitter.
Then the proverbial roof caved in.
Ronnie Rosario, Trevor Behrendt and Brendan Bretton all had RBI hits as the Hillies scratched and clawed for nine runs in the fateful fifth.
Five errors in the inning sealed the Lancer fate in the 10-5 loss as only two of the runs charged to Calzetta were earned.
Sophomore Yunior Vasquez struck out 14 batters for Lawrence as it went on to beat Chelmsford 5-2. Vasquez went all seven innings giving up only two runs on eight hits. Juniors Harvey Blanco and Devin Montanez each had three hits and one rbi for the Lancers.
