Despite starting four freshmen, a young North Andover team defeated Masconomet 50-21 to end its dual-meet season with a 23-4 record, which is an improvement of five wins over last year. Read More »Lawrence wrestling's Pedro Cruz earned a big win over Josiah Quincy's Dante Wilson, who finished third in the state last year. Cruz, a heavyweight, pinned Wilson in overtime. Kevin Valerio had a big day as well, going 3-0. The Lancers swept Masconomet, Andover and Josiah Quincy.

Taking over a program that had won the last two Division 2 state titles and 50 straight dual meets, the Reggies opened their season by going 1-1-1. They defeated Masconomet 46-34, tied Tewksbury 39-39 and then fell to Milford 42-31.
Matt Buco was 3-0 with three pins on the day.
