Hebert, Pemble take two

Ryan Hebert won the shot put (45-7) and discus (126-6) to lead Central Catholic to an 84-52 win over Andover. Raider Aden Pemble won the high jump (5-6) and 400 hurdles (57.6) while Colin Kim took the mile (4:38) and 800 (2:03.1) for the Golden Warriors.

North Andover wins relays, Central second

The host North Andover boys (70 points) took first, edging No. 2 Central Catholic (61) at the MSTCA Division 2 Relays on Saturday. 
The Scarlet Knights won the distance medley (10:52.68), 4x1600 (18:42.63) and pole vault (112-3).
The Raiders dominated the sprints, winning the 4x100 (44.38), shuttle hurdles (1:05.69), 4x200 (1:30.45) and 4x400 (3:22.96).
"I've got to be the proudest guy in North Andover right now," said Scarlet Knights boys coach and athletic director Steve Nugent. "Our boys (and girls) just competed their butts off today and I'm so happy that they got enough points to be crowned state champs. We built our program to be competitive at this meet and it's working out pretty well so far."

Zack Attack

Zack Traficante won the triple jump and the high jump and Camden Reiland took the mile and ran on the winning 4x400 team. They helped North Andover defeat Central Catholic, 83.62. Central's Ethan Pater had a speedy sprint double.

Ryan Hebert won the shot put (45-2) and discus (115-8) and Adan Pemble won the 110 hurdles (16.3) and 400 hurdles (58.9) as Central Catholic beat Haverhill 107-38. Max Bourque won the javelin (133-6) for Haverhill.

McGrail, Pater take three

Justice McGrail won the triple jump (37-4.5) and 200 (24.4) and was a member of the winning 4x100 relay (46.1) as Central Catholic edged Lowell 77-67. Raider Ethan Pater added wins in the 400 (51.8), 100 (11.0) and as a member of the 4x400 (3:32.3).
