Jackie Giordano surrendered just two earned runs, but No. 14 Andover fell to unbeaten No. 2 Peabody 6-0 in the Division 1 North semifinals.

Katie O'Brien smashed a 220-foot homer and No. 14 Andover hit the fence four other times in a dominant 12-0, 5-inning North quarterfinal win over No. 11 Lincoln-Sudbury. O'Brien, Molly Duval, Alyssa Sellinger, Adelaide Weeden and winning pitcher Jackie Giordano all had big days at the plate. Giordano (4-hitter) has given up just two earned runs in three tourney wins.

No. 14 Andover toppled No. 3 Westford, 3-2, in 8 innings. Winning pitcher Jackie Giordano singled in Alyssa Sellinger from second in the top of 8th. Giordano, a freshman, had a 6-hitter with nine strikeouts, one walk and one earned run. Molly Duval homered.

Paige Gillette had the game-winning double in the top of the eighth and winning pitcher Jackie Giordano went 4 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs as Andover slipped past Haverhill 6-5.

Sicily DiDomenico pitched another 2-hitter, striking out six and also went 3 for 4 with two RBIs in a 12-0 win over Andover. Gigi Torrence was 2 for 3 with four RBIs for the Hillies (6-5) and Riley Windle had a double and three RBIs.

In Andover's 5-2 win over Chelmsford, Eliza Rousseau made four brilliant plays in centerfield and Jackie Giordano fired a 5-hitter, with 12 Ks and one walk. Alyssa Sellinger went 3-for-3. 

North Andover's softball team defeated Andover for the second straight day, 7-5, for its fourth win in the last five games. Freshman Brigid Gaffny struck out seven in four innings without giving up an earned run for the win. Josilin Gove, Julianna Roche and Maeve Gaffny all had two RBIs.

North Andover's Brigid Gaffny got the best of Andover's Jackie Giordano in a pitchers' duel as the Knights prevailed, 3-2. Gaffny fanned seven and didn't give up an earned run. The Knights scored the winner in the top of the 7th. Gaffney doubled and Maria Mangiameli plated her sister, courtesy runner Jessie Mangiameli, who was making her varsity debut.  

Katie O'Brien had three RBIs, including the game-winner, as Andover rallied past Dracut with two runs in the bottom of the seventh, 4-3.
