Abby Bettencourt, the latest standout from that legendary athletic family, fired a perfect game, striking out 11,  as unbeaten Peabody blanked Haverhill, 6-0, in the Division 1 North first round.

Haverhill softball beat Reading, 5-2, in the North prelims as Sicily DiDomenico fired a 3-hitter with one walk, and 11 Ks. Sam Dion had a triple and three RBI.

Riley Windle had a double and went 4 for 4 with two runsa scored and two RBIs and Haverhill rallied with eight runs in the sixth to avoid a major upset to defeat Lawrence 13-7.

Paige Gillette had the game-winning double in the top of the eighth and winning pitcher Jackie Giordano went 4 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs as Andover slipped past Haverhill 6-5.

Sicily DiDomenico pitched another 2-hitter, striking out six and also went 3 for 4 with two RBIs in a 12-0 win over Andover. Gigi Torrence was 2 for 3 with four RBIs for the Hillies (6-5) and Riley Windle had a double and three RBIs.

Haverhill's softball team improved to 5-5 with its fifth straight win, defeating Chelmsford, 5-2. Sicily DeDomenico was once again a force, string out 17 batters and Shelby Eason was 2 for 4 with two runs scored.

Sicily DiDomenico threw a 2-hit gem, striking out 11, as Haverhill blanked Central Catholic 4-0 for its fourth win in its last five games. Jalyn Pearl was 3 for 3 with an RBI for the Hillies.

 On Senior Day, senior Gigi Torrence had three RBIs, classmate Shelby Eason scored twice and senior Sicily DiDomenico got the win as Haverhill defeated Dracut 10-6. Riley Windle also had a ket two-run double.

Haverhill continues to get good pitching and it resulted in a 7-3 win over North Andover for its second straight win in two days over the Knights. Olivia DeCicco and Sicily DiDomenico combined for a 1-hitter and both had an RBI. DeCicco had three hits.in the win.  

In a 10-inning, 2-0 win over North Andover, Haverhill's Sicily DiDomenico fired a complete-game 5-hitter. In the top of the 10th, DiDomenico and Riley WIndle drove in the runs. The hard-luck loser was Brigid Gaffny (10 innings, 13 hits).
