Surprising North Andover beat surprising Concord-Carlisle, 11-10, in the Division 1 North quarterfinals. The No. 21 Knights trailed No. 20 C-C 8-2 heading into the sixth. They took a 2-run lead with four runs in the top of the seventh and held on as the hosts pushed across one run in the bottom of the seventh. Freshman Brigid Gaffny gave up just one eawrned run in 4.2 relief innings to get the win. Julianna Roche and Maeve Gaffny both drove in three runs.

What a difference an ace pitcher can make. Lowell was without superstar Gina LaCedra Monday in the Division 1 North softball first round and North Andover took advantage, romping to a 10-0 victory. Josilin Gove had a memorable game, hurling a five-hits shut out and going 4 for 4 at the plate with two RBIs. Julianna Roche was 3 for 4 with three RBIs for the Knights (9-8).

Josilin Gove and Jenna Roche drove in the runs in the third inning and Gove fanned nine in a complete game win. They led North Andover past Lynn Classical, 2-1, in the North softball prelims.

Juliana Roche had a whopping seven RBIs, which included a grand slam, but that wasn't enough for North Andover in a 13-10 loss to Chelmsford.

North Andover's softball team defeated Andover for the second straight day, 7-5, for its fourth win in the last five games. Freshman Brigid Gaffny struck out seven in four innings without giving up an earned run for the win. Josilin Gove, Julianna Roche and Maeve Gaffny all had two RBIs.

North Andover's Brigid Gaffny got the best of Andover's Jackie Giordano in a pitchers' duel as the Knights prevailed, 3-2. Gaffny fanned seven and didn't give up an earned run. The Knights scored the winner in the top of the 7th. Gaffney doubled and Maria Mangiameli plated her sister, courtesy runner Jessie Mangiameli, who was making her varsity debut.  

Josilin Gove went the distance, allowing just one earned run, and had three RBIs to help her own cause as North Andover smashed Dracut 12-2.

Haverhill continues to get good pitching and it resulted in a 7-3 win over North Andover for its second straight win in two days over the Knights. Olivia DeCicco and Sicily DiDomenico combined for a 1-hitter and both had an RBI. DeCicco had three hits.in the win.
