Sophomore Ava McNamara was 4 for 4 with a home run, scored twice and drove in a pair as Salem opened Division 1 tourney action with a 9-4 win over Timberlane. The Blue Devils will be at Londonderry Saturday at 4 p.m.

Timberlane freshman Katherine O’Leary was 4 for 4 with two runs scored and classmate Alexa Salafia was 3 for 4 with two RBIs, but the Owls lost to Spaulding 8-4.

Abigail Farone went the distance for Timberlane in a 7-1 win over Spaulding. Olivia Matarazzo had three hits and Alexa Salafia and Maeve Perras scored twice.

Addison Lucier had four hits and two RBIs and Ava McNamara contributed three hits, two runs and four ribbies as Salem softball tripped Timberlane, 9-3.

Freshman Katherine O'Leary drove in three runs with two hits and classmate Alexa Salafia pitched six innings without giving up an earned run as improving Timberlane edged Windham, 6-5.

Freshman Alexa Salafia and sophomore Olivia Matrazzo both had two hits and two RBIs to pace Timberlane to a big 6-1 win over Windham. Abby Farone was the winning pitcher.

Maeve Perras was 3 for 4 with a homerun and drove in three runs to pace Timberlane to an 11-2 win over Nashua North. Freshman Alexa Salafia pitched a 3-hitter for the win, striking out 11, and was also 4 for 4 at the plate.

Hannah Collins had a double and triple among four hits and drove in four runs to pace Timberlane to an 11-6 win over Dover.
