Zach Guertin scored a career-high 15 points on five 3s, as Haverhill hung on in overtime to beat Tewksbury, 70-64. Phillip Cunningham added 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Jeremyah Phillips chipped in 9 points and 11 boards for the Hillies, who were also celebrating coach Souleymane Wayne's birthday.

Lowly Tewksbury (now 2-9) outscored Central Catholic 15-4 in the fourth quarter to rally for a 48-47 victory. Xavier Mckenzie led the Raiders (9-4) with 21 points.

Jeremiah Melendez had five 3-pointers and a season-high 20 points and Brandon Goris added 19 points along with 15 assists as Lawrence (9-3) cruised past Tewksbury, 80-56.

North Andover (1-6) earned its first win, rolling past Tewksbury 65-48. Junior Jake Wolinski had been averaging 2.2 points but he was feeling it and had 4 treys and 16 points. Matt Kutz added 13 and Kyle Moore 11. Aidan Heim was a force on the defensive end for the Knights, who hit an eye-popping 16 3-pointers.

Mitchell Crowe took an inbounds pass from Isaac Allen with 2.2 seconds left in the game and knocked down the game-winning 3-pointer as time expired to give Methuen a 63-60 overtime victory over Tewksbury.

Manny Arias (15 points, three 3s) and Zach Guertin (12 points, three 3s) both shot the ball well from beyond the arc, as the Haverhill boys basketball team opened with a 62-47 win over Tewksbury.
