LAWRENCE – Eleven days after closing the regular season with an 11-point loss to Andover, Lawrence got a little postseason revenge.

And after advancing to the Division 1 North quarterfinals with their 60-54 victory in Tuesday’s first-round, the Lancers now look for retribution against Lynn English, which knocked off Lawrence in last year’s quarters en route to a state championship.

Kyle Rocker and Andover remained on the upswing with a 73-71 victory over Belmont in the Comcast Tournament. Rocker pumped in 27 points and got good help from sophomore Richie Shahtanian, who sanke six 3-pointers for 18 points. 

Kyle Rocker continued to dazzle with 27 points as Andover closed our the regular season by rolling past Charlestown 77-53. Aidan Cammann added 12 points for the winners.

ANDOVER — On senior night, Andover's Kyle Rocker was one determined senior Friday night.

Andover held Tewksbury to 13 second-half points in a 65-41 romp. Kyle Rocker (22 points) and Aidan Cammann (14) led the way. This clinched a tourney berth for Andover, which has made it all 31 years under Dave Fazio.

NORTH ANDOVER – In a year in which accumulating points has been at best a challenge and often incredibly difficult for teams throughout the region, Andover may have found another scorer at the right time.

ANDOVER – Playing on a rival’s hostile court isn’t the ideal way to rebound from one of the program’s biggest upset losses in even the longest of memories.

METHUEN – Playing on the road Friday night, Andover’s Kyle Rocker banked in a three pointer from about 60 feet to beat the halftime buzzer.

But that wasn’t even the second-best thing that happened to the Warrior senior.

LAWRENCE – A week ago, Lawrence had just gone through one of its worst four-day stretches of the century.

Three wins in the most recent four-day stretch, however, has the Lancers fixing what ailed them.

Maintaining possession was something Central Catholic did to perfection for an entire half of a Merrimack Valley Conference showdown Sunday afternoon. And playing turnover free in the middle two quarters helped send the Raiders to a 62-53 victory over rival Andover.
