Pelham dropped its final game, 2-1, to St. Thomas Aquinas (9-3-1) to finish the season with a 6-6-2 record. Laurie Costa scored Pelham's lone goal 5 minutes into the second half, the goal was assisted by Emily Koehler. Keeper Alex Catalano registered 10 saves in the loss. Despite the loss, Pelham still managed to qualify for the Class I tournament for the first time in 12 years. They will play their first game on Thursday.

Pelham's field hockey team has struggled much of the season but it ended its last scheduled regular season game with a 1-1 tie against a strong St. Thomas team (5-2-1. Trailing 1-0 at halftime, Emily Koehler tied it up and the defense did the rest, including in overtime. Alex Catalano stopped two breakaways for Pelham (3-5-2) "I'd call this a big upset," said Pelham coach Linda Koehler.
