CONCORD, N.H. — Pelham spotted Bishop Brady eight points before getting down to business last night.
The unbeaten Pythons (5-0) then rattled off 36 unanswered points to win going away, 36-8.
The Pythons’ brilliant back Bruce Vieira returned from a nagging injury to lead the offense, scoring TDs from 15 and 3 yards out. Wayne Parisi hauled in a 10-yard scoring pass from Joe DeAngelo and booted his first field goal of the season, a 30-yarder that put Pelham ahead 9-8 at halftime.
Pelham’s defense took over in the second half as Sean Sweeney returned a fumble 41 yards for a touchdown and Cam Robidoux returned an interception 30 yards for a score.
“We weren’t ready to play at the start, but the kids played much better in the second half,” said Pelham coach Tom Babaian.
The loss snapped a two-game winning streak for Bishop Brady (2-3).
Pelham will host Kearsarge (4-2) Friday at 7 p.m. Kearsarge defeated Stevens 21-7 last night.
