Wakeup call

After a bad first set, Pinkerton came to life and downed Timberlane 23-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-12 to improve to 13-1 for the season. Kacie Connal notched 15 kills, Kenna Finlayson added 13 kills and Kelsey McKechnie chipped in with 16 service points for the winners.

Salem 3, Timberlane 0

Winning without star
The Salem girls volleyball team somehow improved to 11-2 with a sweep of Timberlane despite missing two starters, including star captain Amanda Saab, who hurt her ankle in practice Friday. She joins Robyn Ciriello, who has been out with a back injury for a month and Courtney Wright, who has missed the entire season with a broken wrist.
Junior Becca Weiss led the way over Timberlane with 11 kills and nine service points.

Robichaud shines in loss

Timberlane fell to Manchester Memorial 3-2. Katie Matatall and Anne-Marie Britton each racked up five kills in a losing effort. Christine Robichaud had 15 assists.

Timberlane tops Keene in five sets

Although Keene put forward a very respectable effort, Timberlane was able to come away with the win in spite of trailing after three sets. Stephanie Markarian had eight points, six aces and five kills while Julie Biorn finished with 12 points, three aces and 12 digs. Christine Robichaud led the way passing with 14 assists.

Timberlane tops Manchester Central 3-1

AnnMarie Britton had 13 points, five aces and eight kills to lead Timberlane to a 25-17, 20-25, 25-17, 25-15 season-opening win over Manchester Central. Steph Markarian had a stellar game in the middle and Tori Hastings racked up eight points, four aces and two kills for the winners.
