100th for Smith

Methuen-Tewksbury swimming beat Lowell, 107-74, to clinch the MVC II title and give coach Jason Smith his 100th win. Kara Davidson, Kyra Donahue and Julia Galuska were some of the standouts.

Methuen sweeps

Kyra Donahue won the 100 breaststroke, Kara Davidson took the 50 freestyle, Samanta DeNaro won the 200 IM and they teamed with Julia Galuska to take the 200 medley relay as Methuen traveled to Worcester and beat Notre Dame 62-25. The Rangers won every event.

Bounce-back Rangers

 

The Methuen-Tewksbury swim team bounced back from a loss to Haverhill with a dominating 97-75 win over Billerica. Kyra Donahue had sectional qualifying times in the 200 IM and 100 freestyle and Kara Davidson had state qualifying times in the 200 and 500 freestyle as the Red Rangers won every event.

Donahue leads way

 

Junior captain Kyra Donahue captured the 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle and was on both winning freestyle relays as Methuen won its first meet of the season, clipping North Andover 101-80. Malia Amuan was a double winner for North Andover.

Good day for Galat

Senior Mia Galat won the 100 freestyle (54.83), 50 frestyle (25.50) and was on both the winning 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams as Andover improved to 3-0 with a meet win over Methuen. The powerhouse Warriors had 14 state-qualifying times.
