The Amesbury girls tennis team beat Masconomet 3-2 to improve to 9-7 on the season, good enough to earn a berth to the upcoming state tournament. Maddie Sartori won a three-set thriller at first singles 5-7, 6-3, 6-4, Ruth Guilbault won at second singles 7-5, 6-1, and the team of Mareike Mueller and Lia Wingfield won at second doubles 6-1, 6-1.

The ailing captain won a three-set thriller 6-2, 1-6, 6-3 at third singles to keep the Sachems in the running. Pentucket also got a three-set win from Liza Russell and Riley Roche at first doubles (6-4, 4-6, 6-3) but Amesbury's Maddie Sartori, Ruth Guilbault and the team of Lia Wingfield and Mareike Mueller won their matches to give the Indians the victory.
