Andover knocked off perrenial power Shrewsbury, 3-2, to close the regular season with a 16-2 record. With the match tied at 2-2, it came down to No. 1 singles and Javier Camino posted the 6-7, (5-7), 6-0, 6-2 victory. Coach Mike Wartman said, "Javier elevated his play and played a real smart match."

Andover's Ryan Cadigan toughed out a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles and the Golden Warriors clinched the MVC Division 1 title with a 5-0 win over Central Catholic.

Andover (13-1) won a big match over Wellesley 3-2. Javier Camino and David Grossman won in singles and Avi Jonarthanon and Sam Feng were victorious at second doubles.

Andover's Justin Gu and David Tverskoy rallied for a 4-6, 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 2 doubles as the Golden Warriors handed Methuen its first loss of the season, 4-1. Onyeraluabu Chibuogwu led the Rangers with a tough 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.

In an Ernie Banks special, the Andover and Haverhill boys tennis teams played a doubleheader with Andover winning both by 5-0 scores. Among the AHS standouts were Sam Feng, Avi Jonarthanon and Savya Virmani.

Javier Camino battled back for a 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles as Andover beat Central Catholic 5-0.
