Led by winner pitcher Noah Lucier's eight strikeouts, four Central Catholic pitchers combined for 16 Ks in an 8-0 win over New York's Mt. Saint Michael. Steve Hajjar went 3 for 3 with two RBIs at the plate, and Dom Keegan smacked two triples.

Mike Borrelli was 3 for 3 with a double and drove in three runs to pace Central Catholic to a 10-3 win over Dracut. Nate Carpenter picked up the win on the mound.

With Austin Prep threatening with runners on first and second and no outs in the top of the sixth, Central's Aidan Abernathy struck out two and got the third to ground out to get out of the threat. Then in the bottom half, he hit a two-run triple to lift the Raiders to a 4-2 win.

Trailing by two runs and with just one hit heading into the sixth, Mike Pierro and Dom Keegan singled and Steve Hajjar blasted a three-run homer to send Central Catholic to an 8-4 win over Lowell.

Trailing 5-4 heading into the bottom of the fifth, Michael Borrelli drove in Dom Keegan to tie the game up for Central Catholic baseball. A few batters later, Joey Sanchez lined a two-run single to give the Raiders the lead, and junior Jonathan Montanile pitched 2.1 scoreless innings with five Ks to finish off the 7-5 win.

HAVERHILL —  Central Catholic's baseball team didn't waste any time getting its offense untracked.

Playing at home in their opener, the Raiders scored five runs in the first and added four more in the second on their way to a 13-0 romp over St. Peter of Marian.
