The Georgetown Royals (9-8-2) snapped out of their winless funk by beating the home-advantaged North Reading Hornets (0-13-5) in their last regular season contest yesterday, 3-0. The Royals scored all of their goals in the second half yesterday - all after the 10 minute mark. Kate Grosslein, Sara Gaeta, and Kim Nowers scored the goals, Tracy Sinkowicz had an assist, and Karen O'Hare made five saves for the Royals.

Port, Karelis surge by North Reading

The Newburyport Clippers (5-2-3) overwhelmed the North Reading Hornets (0-7-2) last night, 4-0. The Clippers leading scorer, Ashley Karelis, notched two goals and an assist, while Callie Hefferan and Cassandra Davis scored goals, and Taylor Purcell had an assist. Leah Svoboda and Haley Morris had three saves each for Newburyport. The Clippers had the advantage in corner penalties (5-4) and shots on goal (26-4).

Terrific trio leads Pentucket

Pentucket was led by the three-headed attack of Bernadette Corrado, Emily Hartman and Shannon Beaton, who accounted for every goal and assist, in its 4-0 win over North Reading. Corrado nabbed a pair of goals, while both Hartman and Beaton finished with a goal and an assist apiece. Kelleigh O'Hearn recorded three saves to earn the shutout, the third of the year for the Sachems.
