The Andover girls soccer team handed Masconomet its first loss of the season thanks huge contributions from Jess Morrow (two goals, assist) and Jenn Caro (two goals). Scoring the fifth goal for Andover was Alex Bengston. Satin Zarkar finished with six saves in goal.

Battle of unbeatens In a battle of two of the top girls soccer teams in the state, Masconomet (12-0) slipped through the defense for a lone goal in a 1-0 victory over Central Catholic (11-1-1). Both teams had nine shots on net. "We missed some wide-open opportunities, but it was a good physical game between two good teams," said Central coach Anne Marinaro.

As was the case in the last couple of Amesbury losses, the Indians performed well for a half, but let the other half get out of hand. Against Masconomet, the Indians allowed four first half goals, and almost mounted a dramatic comeback in the second half scoring the first two goals. However, the Chieftains proved to be too much.
