Central Catholic defeated Wilmington, 3-0, thanks to an impressive performance by Ashley Evangelista (two goals, one assist). It was tight through the first half, but three second half goals secured the Division 2 North opening round victory for the Raiders.

Tournament bound

The Georgetown girls soccer team won its second straight 1-0 game, this time over WIlmington, to qualify for the tournament for the third straight year. Nicoline Holland scored for the Royals (8-5-2) and Pauline Reilly shined in goal with 12 saves.

Wilmington 3, Pentucket 1

In an evenly matched game that was basically between each team's 18-yard box, Wilmington was able to finish off its few chances to beat Pentucket, 3-1.

Breanna Yocum scored her sixth goal of the season and Sarah Selig got her fifth assist of the season in the loss.

After allowing a goal 13 minutes into the game, Triton hung tough with Wilmington, nearly tying the score when Brittany Caprio rang a free kick off the crossbar. However, the same familiar senario played out, and the Vikings were shut out for the third time.
