BOSTON — Andover junior Devin Connell finished just off his own school record with a 2:31.69 for second in the 1,000 meters at the New England Championsips.
The talented junior was nipped by Stephen (no relation) Tyler of Weston, Conn., who won in 2:31.53.

Britney Johnson won the 600 by five seconds in a sizzling 1:39.04, which is the second fastest in school history as Pinkerton finished second in a multi-team meet. Londonderry's Gretchen McGrath won both the 55 meters and 300. and Pinkerton freshman Meghan Cross zoomed to first in the 3,000.
