Read More »ROXBURY — Andover junior Owen Mosher upset heavily-favored Brookline senior Andrew Chabon to capture the Division 1 state 55-meter hurdles title Saturday.
Chabon beat Mosher in qualifying, 7.77-7.91, but Mosher came through in the finals in 7.87 while Chabon (8.04) struggled. It was another top day for the Andover hurdlers as Justin Mantrana took sixth and Graham Scott seventh.
Read More »North Andover's Erick Duffy scored the lone victory for an area boy, winning the 55 meter hurdles in 7.93 at the MSTCA Coaches Invitational. Andover's Devin Connell added a third in the 1,000 (2:34.38) and Haverhill's Sean Glass was fourth in the 55 dash (6.70).
