Carlson wins goalie duel

Ben Carlson made 19 saves and earned an assist on a North Andover goal as the Scarlet Knights took a 4-2 victory over Haverhill. Hillies goalie Shane Corbett made 37 saves and allowed just three goals. The final was empty net.

Mackie Mania

Brian Mackie netted a goal and assisted on Haverhill's two other tallies to help the Hillies earn a 3-1 win over Concord-Carlisle. Jack Ouellette and Casey Langley were the other two Haverhill goal scorers, and Tyler Barnhart made 19 saves in net getting the win.

Haverhill's hockey team won its second straight game to open the season, 7-2 over Nashoba. Showing good depth, six different players scored, led by Tyler Campbell's two goals. Brian Mackie and Mike Fitzgerald both had a goal and two assists.

Kings of the hill

Haverhill boys hockey started the season off with a huge 4-3 win over Tewksbury, marking the first time in at least 10 years the Hillies had beaten Tewksbury at home. Tyler Campbell scored two goals and goalie Tyler Barnhart made 33 saves, including 18 in the third period to preserve the win.
