Alex Rivera scored 26 points as Lowell beat Haverhill 70-53. Avery Cerow had four 3-pointers and 20 points for the Hillies, who have to win one of their final two games to make the postseason.

Rogers paces Knights

 

Connor Rogers was on target, scoring 31 points to pace North Andover's boys to a huge 74-66 win over Lowell. Rogers was 8 for nine for 2-poiunters, 2 for 4 for 3-pointers and 9 for 9 from the free throw line as the Knights improved to 14-5. Chim Ogwuru had 10 points and held Lowell star Alex Rivera to three points in the second half.

Rangers' Rivera hurt

Methuen erupted for a 26-16 lead after a quarter but Lowell rallied for a 70-61 win. Ranger coach Anthony Faradie said, "Dante Rivera might be out rest of season. He has to go to the doctor tomorrow (Saturday). The trainer thinks it is a sprained MCL." Kevin Fernandez had 16 in the loss.

Warrior blowout

Central Catholic held MVC power Lowell without a bucket and just three free-throws during a 12-minute stretch from the thrid quarter into the fourth to pick up the big 55-42 win. Colin Bradanese led the way for the Raiders with 16 points, and Victor Mwaurah added 14.
