The Brooks boys soccer team saw its season end one win short of a New England championship on Sunday, as Brooks was beaten by the South Kent School 2-0 in the New England Prep B championship game.
South Kent, ranked No. 1 in the region for prep schools by TopDrawerSoccer.com and considered by some to be among the top teams in the country, took the lead early on a goal roughly six minutes in. Brooks fought hard and kept the game close the rest of the way, but South Kent was able to score an insurance goal with about 10 minutes to play to close it out.
