Mansfield carries Georgetown to win

Georgetown stayed hot on Friday and reached some milestones in the process.
The Royals rolled over Essex Tech 41-22 in a non-playoff game to improve to 5-4.
Mark Mansfield ripped it up on the ground once again, toting the rock for four scores, Coach Eric McCarthy said he had about 200 yards and surpassed 1,000 yards on the season.
"He had a little more patience," said McCarthy. "We've been working with him on his running style. He let the hole develop and found the creases. He's been doing a good job with that."
Cam Barnard also ran one in for the Royals, while Jimmy Sherman caught a Tommy Long-touchdown pass to cap the scoring against the Hawks.
McCarthy said Sherman also probably got close to 100 yards on the ground, while Long was close to the same mark in the air, surpassing 1,000 yards for the year.
"We used the run to set up the pass," said McCarthy. "The play-actions were there."
Anthony D'Amato had an interception on the first drive of the game. Linebackers Zach Beauvain and Dan Lavelle both had big game against Manchester Essex's double-wing offense.
