DERRY — Pinkerton looked poised to finally make their run. 

Bryant Holmes tossed in 34 points and Exeter defended its home turf in Division 1 with an 83-72 win over Pinkerton Academy. The Astros fall to 14-3, while Exeter is now 12-4.

Brennan Morris and Matt Rizzo each topped the 20-point threshold as Pinkerton beat Spaulding 79-62. Morris finished with 26 points and Rizzo an even 20.

Pinkerton stormed back from a 38-26 halftime deficit to beat Londonderry 68-62. Brennan Morris scored 15 of his 21 in the second half, and Matt RIzzo 11 of his 15. Matt Corey had 20 points in defeat.

Tom Romick scored 14 points, including four 3-pointers, and Brennan Morris added 20 points as Pinkerton bested Nashua North 74-55.

Pinkerton star Brennan Morris erupted for 29 points to help the Astros beat Manchester Memorial 79-67. Tommy Romick and Matt Rizzo each chipped in 14 points as well.

Tommy Romick tossed in 21 points and grabbed a dozen rebounds to lift Pinkerton over Manchester Central, 61-43. A flu-riddled Matt Rizzo scored seven points and dished out 11 assists in the victory.

Pelham's Keith Brown turned in perhaps his finest performance yet, scoring 41 points to help Division 3 Pelham sink Division 1 power Pinkerton 65-62. Brown drained five 3-pointers and was 14-15 from the free throw line.

Brennan Morris drained four 3-pointers in a 27-point performance to help lead Pinkerton past a hard-charging Chelmsford team 72-69 in the Lowell Christmas Tournament. Pinkerton led 43-26 at halftime and then held on for the win.
