The Central Catholic golfers needed a win in the regular season finale to qualify for Monday's Division 1 North sectionals at Beverly. And the Raiders got it done, 14.5-5.5 over Billerica.
Once again, the Raiders leaped to a 5-0 lead in the match behind No. 1 Ryan Ajemian and No. 2 Alec Brunelle. Ajemian, who carded a 39, finished his season at 13-0-1, while Brunelle went 12-1-1 on the campaign.

Haverhill had the final say in its match, knocking off Central Catholic, 11-9, at Atkinson Country Club yesterday.
But it was Central's Noah Lucier, who provided the highlight of the day and potentially the fall season.
Lucier, who tied his match, scored a double-eagle "2" on the par-5 sixth hole. The 481-yard par-5 is one of the more difficult holes at Atkinson, but Lucier reached the green with a 4-iron on his second hole that wouldn't stop until it hit the bottom of the cup.
Much rarer than the hole-in-one, the odds of making a double eagle are somewhere around 6 million to 1.
Freshman Troy Donahue had a pivotal win at the No. 8 spot for the Hillies to seal the win.
