Hillies qualify

 

Haverhill's girls soccer team scored all of its goals in the second half to beat Malden 3-0 and qualify for the state tournament for the fifth straight year. Sydney Owen, Audrey Therriault and Nina Frasca scored for the Hillies (9-7-2).

2nd time ever

Haverhill girls soccer has been playing Andover since 1994 and Tuesday's 2-0 win was just the second time the Brown and Gold ever beat AHS. Audrey Therriault and Amanda Van Cor scored and Jessica Kramer stopped 15 shots. The other win came in 2013.

Stratoti strikes

Danielle Stratoti misfired on her first big chance early against Methuen, but she was pure on the second, a minute later, booting home the lone goal in Haverhill's 1-0 victory over the Rangers.
Jessica Kramer made eight saves to post the shutout.
