The Whittier Tech softball team beat Greater Lowell 7-3 on Tuesday to clinch the Commonwealth Athletic Conference Large title. Christina Boutin, Kayla Riley and Eliza Slocum all had two RBIs in the win. 

Haverhill's softball team qualified for the state tournament for the first time in seven years thanks to a 13-1 romp over Greater Lowell. Madi Boucher was 4 for 4 for the Hillies (10-8), who had 18 hits, and Shelby Rowe had a bases-loaded triple and four RBIs.

Whittier softball improved to 3-0 as junior Ashley Wilson slugged two home runs and had five RBIs and freshman Kaley Thibault had a solo homer in a 15-2 rout of Greater Lowell. Kayla Riley threw a 3-0 hitter for the Wildcats, striking out 11, for the win.

Kat Lefebre lofted a sac fly to get Methuen on the board in the first then helped the Rangers take over with a two-run single in the fifth as the Rangers knocked off Greater Lowell Tech, 4-2. Sophomore Coralie Mathieu had three of the Rangers' 11 hits.

Haverhill's softball team remained unbeaten (4-0) with a 9-6 victory over Greater Lowell. Winning pitcher Bryana Michitson had 10 strikeouts and was 3 for 4 at the plate with two RBIs and three runs scored and Brett Johnson has two doubles and a triple while going 5 for 5.
