Isabelle Nasti fired a three-hitter and Boston Latin beat Haverhill, 2-0, in the Division 1 North prelims. Hard-luck loser Bryana Michitson hurled a three-hitter with no earned runs.

The Central Catholic softball team completed its improbable late season comeback on Tuesday, beating Haverhill 6-1 to finish the season 10-10 and earn a spot in the state tournament. Hailey Cockcroft went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and Haley Andrade drove in two runs in her lone at bat to help lead the Raiders' offense.

Bryana Michitson struck out 14 in a six-inning, two-hitter and Haverhill waltzed past Manchester Essex 15-2. Michaela Kane, Michitson and Madi Boucher all homered.

Haverhill's softball team qualified for the state tournament for the first time in seven years thanks to a 13-1 romp over Greater Lowell. Madi Boucher was 4 for 4 for the Hillies (10-8), who had 18 hits, and Shelby Rowe had a bases-loaded triple and four RBIs.

Lawrence upset Haverhill 7-5 on Senior Night. For the 2-13 Lancers, Luz Evangelista had two hits, two runs and an RBI, Krystal Morales two hits and an RBI, and Katherine Quevedo two runs and an RBI. Haverhill dropped to 9-7.

Michaela Kane had two hits, scored twice and had a pair of RBIs as Haverhill blanked North Andover 7-0. Bryanna Michitson threw a two-hitter for the win.

Julie McLaughlin smacked bases-loaded single to plate Michaela Kane with no outs in the seventh as Haverhill walked off with a 4-3 softball win over Billerica. McLaughlin (three hits) and Brett Johnson (two hits) each had a pair of RBIs.

After giving up 12 runs in a loss to Andover earlier in the season, Haverhill's softball team "cleaned it up defensively" according to coach Kara Melillo and defeated the Warriors 12-8. Third baseman Ashley Courtois and shortstop Michaela Kane stood out defensively for the Hillies (7-6) and Kane was 3 for 4, scoring two runs. Brett Johnson had two hits and two RBIs.
