Roche paces Andover

 

Andover's field hockey team celebrated the return of Tori Roche by whipping Methuen 6-0 in the first round of the Division 1 North tournament. Roche, who was out three weeks with an ankle injury, had a hat trick and Brenna Keefe had a goal and an assist as thw Warriors improved to 17-1-1. They'll host Belmont at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Andover's field hockey team finally lost one, falling 1-0 at Chelmsford under miserable cold and wet conditions. The Warriors, who outshot Chelmsford for the game, dropped to 15-1-1.

Andover field hockey beat Methuen 4-1. Interesting note, Alyssa Drouin scored first goal against Warriors the whole season. Also for MHS, Annie Sears had a big game, Morgan Adames notched the assist and twin Madison Adames 23 saves.

Georgina Christopulos scored three goals in just over four minutes in the first half, helping Andover remain perfect on the season by beating Tewksbury 6-0. Megan Hartnett needed to save just one shot to make it 11 straight games for the Warriors without allowing a goal. They've now outscored their opponents 121-0!
