Key Lancers' wins


Londonderry's wrestling team won several key matches on its way to a 40-25 victory over rival Pinkerton. Ryan Cabezas took a 7-4 victory over freshman standout Shayne McCann at 113 for the Lancers (14-1) and Sebastian Roszczenko defeated Morris Hunter 3-1 at 182.

Owls now 24-0


Timberlane swept Hollis-Brookline, Nashua South and Pinkerton (51-26) to improve to 24-0 on the year. Cody Lewis had his best day of the year, going 3-0 with two pins at 106, junior Dan Scalzo picked up his 100th win of his career and sophomore Cam Altobelli had a big pin against Pinkerton to spark that victory. Pin machine Ryan Peters and Derek Bohle both had three pins.

Windham splits squad


Windham finished ninth at the Concord Capital City Tournament, led by David Crichton's runnerup place at heavyweight, and also won two of three meets in a home quad meet.

Pinkerton sophomore Dylan Barreiro, returning from an injury, went 2-0 as the Astros defeated Alvirne 49-24 and slipped past Campbell 40-39. Kevin Ell had a major decision and pin at 220.

Astros split


Pinkerton whipped short-handed White Mountains 58-18 but got smacked by Milford 54-24. Freshman Shayne McCann continued his fine season for the Astros (5-3) with two wins on the day including a pin on 1:05 against Milford.

Senior Kevin Ell, who was fourth at the Bossi Lowell Holiday Tournament, had two first-period pins to help Pinkerton sweep Goffstown (46-31) and Bishop Guertin (44-30) in a tri-meet.

Peterson duo KO'd

 The Pinkerton wrestling team opened with a 39-34 win over Manchester Central, largely thanks to victories over the talented Peterson brothers. Tyler Wilson decisioned Kyle Peterson at 160 and Dylan Barreiro pinned Keaton Peterson at 182. Kevin Ell had a 19-second pin at heavyweight for the Astros.
