North Andover's girls qualified for the tournament with a 66-54 victory over Methuen as Leah Chittick scored 20 points and had six assists, Megan Collins had 16 points and 12 rebounds and Mackenzie Mello chipped in with 10 rebounds.

'Flipped a switch'

 

Trailing Lowell Catholic13-9 after one quarter, Methuen's girls "flipped a switch" according to coach Karen McLaughlin, and outscored the hosts by a whopping 27-5 in the second quarter on their way to a 64-45 victory. Meghan Murphy had nine of her game-high 20 points in that period.
