North Reading's softball team got upset by pentucket earlier in the season and was not about to let that happen again. The Hornets (15-4) blasted the Sachems 15-0 in five inning as Terri Ferrazzani threw a no-hitter, striking out nine.

Backup pitcher Leslie Zewiey had the best game of her career, throwing a sparkling two-hitter with 15 strikeouts and no walks as North Reading (10-4) qualified for the tournament with a 9-0 victory over Ipswich.

Terri Ferrazzani fired a one-hitter with eight strikeouts as North Reading blanked Masconomet 9-0.

Pentucket only had five hits but the Sachems made them count in a 4-2 victory over North Reading for its first win of the year. Mary Kate Corrado had two hits and an RBI for the Sachems and Maddy Ammon scored twice and had an RBI. Leslie Zewey struck out 13 in a losing cause for North Reading.

Merri Moise delivered a two-run double for her third hit of the night to lift North reading to a satisfying 2-1 victory over Malden, avenging an earlier loss to the Tornadoes. Terri Ferrazzani took a no-hitter into the seventh and ended with a one-hitter, striking out nine.
