Huge night for Notre Dame girls

Senior Night was a special one for the Notre Dame High girls, who dispatched  Rockport, 56-29.
With her game-high 17 points, Yaniery Martinez broke the 700-point barrier, something no girl has done in program history. Jessica Brito raised her career block total to 136, higher than any boy or girl in school history. The Hurricanes now await tournament play, something that could hardly have been expected when floor leader Kiara Torres was injured earlier in the season.

Notre Dame of Lawrence's Daizha Ng had the game of her career, with a best-ever 12 points as well as 5 offensive rebounds and 5 steals as the Hurricanes defeated Rockport 40-32.
