CAMBRIDGE — Some teams would see the loss of 40 potential points as a hindrance. Marilyn Fitzgerald saw it as an opportunity.

As expected, it was all Andover in the MVC Division 1 swim meet. The Golden Warriors outscored runner-up Chelmsford 528-427.

Ashlee Korsberg posted impressive wins 200 and 500 freestyles. Her twin sister Alexa won the 100 butterfly. Deborah Daly took first in the diving. Other winners were Maeve Awiszus (100 backstroke) and Maggie D'Innocenzo  (100 breaststroke).

Haverhill sent 13 graduating swimmers to the blocks on Senior Day and all contributed in a 98-80 victory over Central Catholic. Shelby Duckworth contributed valuable points, placing second in the 200 IM, fourth in 500 free and was part of the third-place 200 freestyle relay team.

Erin Weir scored victories in the 100 freestyle and 50 freestyle and Mary Lavery won the 200 IM and 100 breast stroke as Central Catholic topped North Andover 84-70.

Soojin Kim scored wins in the 200 IM, 500 freestyle and as a member of the 400 freestyle relay and Maeve Awiszus took the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle and was on the winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays as Andover beat Central Catholic 90-72.
