Playing with increased pressure in the second half, sixth seed Winchester jumped on an attempted clearing pass by No. 11 North Andover, scoring on a header with 4:40 left to take a 2-1 Division 1 North first round victory.

Westford, which was coming off a Tuesday shocker over unbeaten Lincoln-Sudbury, found a tougher matchup than the top-ranked team in Emass. The Ghosts fell to North Andover, 2-0, in girls soccer action. Midfielders Abbie Karalis, Tess Dunham and Catie Wolstromer carried the Knights. "Doc" Guthrie and Pam Coufos scored.

Megan Rauseo scored 47 seconds into the game to spark the unbeaten Central Catholic girls (12-0-2) to a 2-0 victory over North Andover.

Katie Whipple and Emily Crabtree provided a strong defensive front for North Andover in a 4-0 soccer shutout effort against Cambridge Rindge & Latin.

Leah Chittick scored early for the North Andover girls soccer team (10-4-1) and the defense held tough the rest of the way in a 1-0 victory over rival Masconomet. Carrie Manteiga and freshman Tess Dunham played well for the Knights.

Pam Coufos and Alana Houlihan scored and Megan Collins posted the shutout as North Andover girls soccer dumped Tewksbury, 2-0.

Alana Houlihan's first goal four minutes into action set the pace for North Andover in a runaway 6-1 soccer victory over Methuen. Houlihan finished with four goals before getting the rest of the game off two minutes into the second half. Katie Whipple and Emily Crabtree were key components in the Knights' strong defensive effort.

North Andover girls soccer battled Chelmsford to a scoreless deadlock until the final 10 seconds of the contest when the Lions floated a shot over the top of the Knights' defense and into the net for the game-winner. North Andover got staunch defensive efforts from Audrey Samuelman, Carrie Manteiga, Tori Sullivan and Maura Barry.

Danielle Dion scored the game-winner at the 62:59 mark as Merrimack women's soccer won 3-2 over Le Moyne. 

Jenna Savi and Sam Brady also scored for the Warriors (6-2, 4-1).
