Clayton Landers overcame eight walks with six strikeouts, going the distance in Salem's 5-1 win over Belmont, Ma. Sizzling Mike Downing had two more hits and an RBI for the winners.

Dan Peters was dominant from his first pitch, firing a five-inning no hitter for Salem in a 13-0 drubbing of Manchester West that was ended due to the mercy rule.

Trailing by five runs heading into the sixth inning, Dan Peters' two-run single sparked a six-run outburtst for Salem, as the Blue Devils downed archrival Pinkerton 8-6. Mike Downing added two RBIs, including a key sacrifice fly in the sixth, while Peters also came on to slam the door with a scoreless seventh to pick up the save.

Behind home runs from leadoff hitter Joe Lemenager and Mitch Dufton, Salem shelled Spaulding in the opener for both teams, 12-6. Lemanager had the big hit in the Blue Devils' eight-run fourth inning, mashing a grand slam. Dufton's two-run four-bagger came in the sixth to go along with an earlier double.
