Freshman Tabor Smith assisted on the goal along with junior Tucker Holt, who earned his first varsity point with that helper. Junior Evan King (18 saves) withstood a late Pentucket enslaught to secure the win.

Youthful Amesbury-Whittier is maturing, and winning, as shown by its 3-1 hockey defeat of Masconomet. Underclassmen ruled the scoresheet as freshman Tabor Smith and sophomore Connor Stevens lit the lamp for the co-op team and junior Evan King turned aside 24 Chieftain shots. "This is our first win over Masco in a number of years," said head coach Chris Kucher. "The younger kids are coming a long way and it's good to see that happening." In just six games, Amesbury-Whittier has more wins (3) than it did all last year.
