Astros soar to title

Behind gutsy performances from Grant Langevin and the 4x200 meter relay team, Pinkerton edged out Merrimack to take home the Division 1 state title for the first time since 1993.

In a meet at Dartmouth College that came down to that final relay, the Astros scored 68 points for the title, five more than Merrimack.

Fedrick flies to win

Salem's Jerickson Fedrick continued an impressive indoor track season, blazing to another victory in the 55 meter dash in 6.4 seconds. Fedrick was the lone local individual victor in the early session of qualifying runs at UNH.

Swift Smith


Pinkerton's Emmitt Smith was second in both the 55 dash and 300 and won the long jump as the Astros won a 12-team meet at UNH. Tony Anzivino cruised to first in the 1,500 and sophomore Jason Rodgers was first in the 55 hurdles.

Great Gunnar


Gunnar Erickson was first in the 55 hurdles, on the winning 4x160 relay team and came in fourth in the 300 as Timberlane placed fourth in a nine-team meet at UNH.

Just nosed out

In a duel of two of the better 300 meter runners at Dartmouth, Timberlane's Gunnar Ericsson was just nosed out at the finish by Essex's Kevin Conchieri to win by 2/100's of a second.
