It took two

Kyle Mansour and Ryan Freeman carried Methuen to a 58-51 victory over Chelmsford, clinching the MVC Small title and a tourney berth. Set up in their favorite spots by the Rangers backcourt, Mansour hit 13 of 20 field goal attempts while Freeman drained 8 of 19. Both pulled down double-digit rebounds in the win.

Subs good for Warriors

Coming off the bench, Chris Dunn had nine points and Max Silveira added seven points in a 27-point second-quarter explosion that turned a nine-point Andover deficit into a 12-point halftime lead and a 58-51 victory over Chelmsford. James Costello paced the victors with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 3 steals.

Monster third quarter

Lawrence boys basketball was down by two points to Chelmsford at halftime, but then outscored Chelmsford 34-9 in the third quarter. From there, the Lancers won 83-52.

Tre'von Farley led the way for Lawrence with 20 points.
