Timberlane couldn't match Merrimack's offensive intensity, dropping a 9-5 decision. Freshman Austin Toohey was praised by head coach Ryan Dugan for strong play on both ends of the ice while Brendan Heinze (two goals and an assist) bounced back well from a knee injury. Nolan Dow and Ryan McCarthy turned in solid defensive efforts for the Owls.
