The North Reading boys lacrosse team fell on tbe wrong side of a 19-6 decision to Dover-Sherborn, in the championship game of the Division 3 east sectional

North Reading's boys lacrosse team, fueled by the first varsity start of sophomore Billy Sexton, rolled past Hamilton-Wenham 10-6 in th Division 3 East quarterfinals.

Cody Carbone fired a perfect pass to Eric Valenti, who scored on a bounce shot with 34 seconds left in the game to give No. 4 North Reading a 12-11 victory over No. 13 Hanover in the Division 3 East first round.

Senior Night was a successful one for the three seniors — Mike O'Boyle, Andrew Burns and Neal Rooney — on North Reading boys lacrosse. 

Eric Valenti scored four goals and Cody Carbone and Nate Seed each netted three goals as North Reading boys lacrosse beat Georgetown 14-3. 

Cody Carbone netted six goals to lead North Reading boys lacrosse to an 11-5 victory over Wilmington. Andrew Burns, meanwhile, made eight saves as North Reading improved to 13-2.  

With assists on all but one goal, North Reading exhibited strong team play in its 15-1 lacrosse win over Malden. Defensemen Brian Smith and Chris Schipelliti played very well in the near shutout as the Hornets (10-1) qualified for state tourney play faster than any other season in the program's history.

Eric Valenti and Cody Carbone came through big-time for North Reading in a 7-6 overtime victory against host Wakefield. After trailing 6-4 going into the fourth quarter, Valenti tied the game with just over a minute left in regulation then fed Carbone with 30 seconds left in OT for the game-winner. Strong defensive play from Chris Schipelliti, Brian Smith and Conor Murnane combined with big saves from goalie Andrew Burns to set the stage for the win.

Transfer Mike O'Boyle made his North Reading debut with three goals and North Reading (5-1) whipped North Shore/Manchester-Essex 13-3.

Despite a paucity of offense, North Reading pushed its game with Manchester Essex into overtime. The Hornets survived a man disadvantage into the early stages of the extra session, but Manchester scored 50 seconds into OT to deal North Reading its first loss of the season, 7-6. Long pole midfielder Eric Valenti was a force in the loss, contributing an assist and some valuable energy.
