Whittier broke open a pitchers' duel with eight sixth-inning runs, running away for a 9-0 victory over Greater Lowell. Winning pitcher Andrew Wells scattered five hits in going the distance and added a pair of doubles in the sixth inning uprising. Brian Vezina had a two-run triple while Nathan Frongillo had three hits and an RBI.
