Whittier's surging softball team tuned up for this week's Methuen Tournament with an impressive 6-2 victory over Andover. Cassey Glode (2 for 2)  drilled a two-run homer in the first inning and scored three runs and Jen Dube hurled a fine four-hitter for the win. The Wildcats (16-2) face Lawrence Friday in the first round of the tourney.

Kailah Goulet and Cassey Glode each hit a home run and Caitlyn McHugh drove in four runs as Whittier beat PMA 18-3.

Whittier's softball team handed perennial power Shawsheen its first Commonwealth Conference loss in two years, 5-2 in a five-inning game shortened by rain. Taylor Miller was the winning pitcher for the Wildcats (11-2) and Cassey Glode was 2 for 2 with her seventh home run of the season.

Cassey Glode went 6 for 6, with four runs and six RBIs and Caitlyn McHugh went 4 for 4 with four runs as Whittier blitzed Lynn Tech 19-1.

Cassey Glode blasted a pair of three-run homers, legging both out at the park which does not have a fence, leading Whittier to a 15-0 win over Haverhill in five innings.

Sophomore Destiny Jordan's first home run of the year turned a close game into a rout, opening the flood gates in Whittier's 17-1 rout of Greater Lawrence. Taylor Miller threw a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts in the victory.

Cassey Glode blasted a two-run homer to center field in the first inning and Whittier Tech went on for a pivotal 5-3 victory over Greater Lowell. Kendra Brasil was 3 for 3 and Kailah Goulet scored twice for the Wildcats (6-2).

Adriana Joe was 2 for 4 with two RBIs as Whittier bested Lowell 6-3.

Taylor Miller had a no-hitter through six innings for Whittier Tech until Northeast stroked a lead-off double, but the junior settled on a one-hitter with eight strikeouts and one walk in a 10-0 victory. Cassey Glode smacked two long homers and drove in five runs while Josie Sanchez also homered.
